My old Ducati Monster. I sold this in 1999, and haven't seen it since. I miss my monster.

I'd just had the new exhausts & new dash installed. Picture taken in Adelaide Australia.
These are out of order.
Exploded view.
Amazing it didn't sink in the grass..
Back to Adelaide.
Yes, this was the actual number plate. The rego department says that it's not available, so it must be somewhere!

The Monster was easy to ride, and didn't give me many problems besides wearing out a couple of clutch slave cylinders. I made the trip from Adelaide to Phillip Island and back on this thing - over 2000kms on that trip. But it was a little too slow for my liking. At the time, people were plugging on 41mm KeiHin flat-slide carby's. I could afford that, but the suspension would still need some work. I had a small accident involving some stupid granny, her car, and the road. And so, with little fanfare, I traded it in on the 900ss.

The 900ss is far more photogenic
especially since we now have a digital camera :)
Pictures taken during a weekend at Mannum, South Australia.

I still have the 900ss. And if I have to pick faults, I'd say it's just too damn uncomfortable for my old bones now. Not as good at commuting as the monster (obviously..), but still fun to ride. I don't think it really suits my style of riding. I'd love to get a Monster S4. But my new love is the Land Cruiser, and my boss doesn't pay well enough for me to feed two babies..

Sometime in 2001, the project was born. Bike Cam thingy. There are plans for a sequel, but they've never gotten too far off the ground, except for the tamiya RC car one.

You'll need the DivX codec to play this.

It's low quality, about 2.6MB.
